Some pictures of my Vintage Skipper

Trying to be more active in the Barbie forum, so here's some pictures I took of my re-rooted vintage Skipper. Used the macro setting on the camera, so the pictures are a lot less blurry than usual. Hopefully that's a trend that continues!

  1. That is a very cute Skipper! And I don't usually like Skipper!

  2. I like her reroot. I am currently working on rerooting a vintage Skipper head but then I think I will sell the head when I am done or give it away on the Barbie forums for free since I just want the body now to make a male Blythe out of later on. But I am sure there is some poor Skipper body out there without a head that could use mine. It will need a bit of work on it because it has the dreaded tear in the neck but with skilled hands she could be perfect.

  3. I'm glad you two like her! She was a lot of work, but totally worth it.

And I'm sure there's a body out there for Skipper, hopefully two. I have another one that needs to be re-rooted and rebodied. But that's a project for another day. What color are you re-rooting her in? My next one's going to be a titan one.

  4. I'm rooting mine in this weird blond color, but I realized it clashes with her skin color so I might redo her or just leave that as something for someone else to worry about. LOL!

  5. Ugh, I had to redo one re-root project. It's always heartbreaking tearing out your hard work. You might as well leave it for the next person to get it.
Where do you get your re-root hair?
