What's Behind Door #-1? A Christmas Surprise!

Hello everyone and welcome to the start of the Holiday Season on "A Bit of Aubrey's Mind"!

We're going to do a special leading up to Christmas follow along as I open a Barbie themed Advent Calendar! Over a week ago now I was on the Walmart website and I stumbled across the new Barbie 2017 Advent Calendar on sale for less than 15 dollars (in my experience these things rarely go that cheap even well after the holiday) so I decided to get it. Back when I saw some pictures of the set when it was announced I liked a few of the pieces but couldn't justify 30 dollars for it, but for 15 I could.

So you all get to follow along with me day by day leading up to Christmas!

If anyone's interested, they still have it for sale as of right now: Barbie Advent Calendar
(Just a heads up, the picture shows everything that's in the set,
so spoiler alert if you want to be surprised by what's in it!)

Here's my set:

I'll start off by saying this box is HUGE. I didn't realize how big it was going to be until it arrived on my doorstep. There's a full sized Barbie doll on the left and the rest of the box is so much bigger than she is. I've cropped her out for the sake of surprising people since she's the Day 1 present and it's still November 30th.

There's also a neat feature, the box came plastic wrapped. On the back is a picture of the contents, but it's a false back. The picture with the contents is slid into the back in the four corners and under it is the same Barbie art just without the pictures, so if you're giving it as a present it can easily be removed and kept secret! Pretty smart!
I also cropped out the clothes from the back image.

I'm no stranger for Advent Calendars, my father getting the Chocolate ones for everyone in my family is an annual tradition, but it's my first ever non-candy related one. So come join me each day as I reveal what's behind the door!

Also, how cute are those Barbie illustrations? I'll freely admit a while back all the Barbie art was not my cup of tea, but these are cute, dynamic, and Barbie looks young enough to be a teen but not too young. It's not my favorite art style from her from all time but it's very cute.
