Day 9 of our Advent Calendar, Getting a Little Less Chilly!

 Hello again, back for another day of the Advent Calendar! Today's door is this cute little kitty cat. I'm not sure if this cat has a name (not really up on current Barbie stuff), but it's a cute short haired cat with white/light blue fur with a white patch on the chest. A little cutie:

This is our first animal in the "forest". Not sure how many house cats are wondering around a normal forest, but maybe they do in Barbie's world. 

We open the door and find....

 

A dress! Finally, we get our first piece of clothing. I won't lie, it's the 9th (in theory) and we finally have something for our doll to wear. It's a little bit chilly these days and she's been hanging out in her molded on bathing suit and tights. This dress is made from a blue plastic feeling fabric with printed on silver stars. It has a high waist, puffy sleeves, and a gathered skirt. The fabric feels like the kind used for umbrellas. It closes in the back with Velcro.

 

 It's not terrible, but could be better. I don't love the fabric or the surging at the sleeves, but they didn't ask me.

It's cute, but you can see her bodysuit at the neckline which looks a little weird. And that's after adjusting it to cover as much of the molded on details as possible. I did actually have another doll wearing this for a bit. I am planning on keeping this dress and using it on another doll. Not quite sure who yet, but it'll at least go in my clothing collection.

Here's our cat added to our forest, it got a little torn taking it off the box, but not too badly.

Right now it's the only animal, so I hope it likes eating pine trees. See everyone tomorrow for Day 10!
